TAGGIES™ IS A FIVE-TIME WINNER!
iPARENTING MEDIA AWARDS “Best
Products of 2006”
Have you ever noticed how babies are
often more interested in the tag on the blanket than the actual
blanket? Two enterprising moms did, and then created a product
line that babies love.” – ePregnancy Magazine
Acclaimed children’s product manufacturer Taggies,
Inc. has won its fifth iParenting Media Award in three
years. The Spencer, Massachusetts company was honored in iParenting
Media’s “Best Products of 2006” competition
for its Toss the TAGGIE® ball. In 2005 Taggies,
Inc. received an iParenting Media “Best Products
of 2005” award for its TAGGIE® Toes baby
booties. In 2004 the company was honored for its Little
TAGGIE®,Big TAGGIE®, and Take-A-Long
TAGGIE®.
A “new twist” on the classic soft, textured ball for
infants and toddlers, Toss the TAGGIE® is
a soft, textured, 8” diameter chime ball adorned with loads
of multi-colored, multi-textured tags that babies and children
love to rub.
"iParenting knows how hard it is for parents to find the
best products for their families and that credible product evaluations
are important to them. That's why the iParenting Media Awards program
carefully reviews and then recognizes the very best products in
the marketplace and tells parents about them," says Alvin
All, Chief Executive Officer of iParenting Media.
The evaluation process utilized by the iParenting Media Awards
program is so thorough it has attained ISO 9001:2000 Certification
from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
ISO is the world's largest developer of standardization regulations,
and ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized standard of
quality assurance.
To be considered for an award, companies submitted four identical
samples of each product, which were then precisely matched within
iParenting's database of hundreds of experienced reviewers using
iParenting's state-of-the-art technology. An expert, a childcare
setting and a family reviewed the products and submitted a thorough
evaluation of each item. Results were compiled and submitted to
the iParenting Media Executive Committee for final approval. The
end result of this comprehensive process is a list of award-winning
products families can feel confident in purchasing for their loved
ones.
Taggies came into being six years ago when new
mom and early-childhood educator Julie Dix observed
that her baby often seemed more interested in the tags on toys
and blankets than the items themselves. She then teamed
up with fellow mom Danielle Ayotte to create colorful
fleece blankets edged all around with small, satiny tags. The
company’s award-winning, patented product line has expanded
in the past six years to include, in addition to Toss the
TAGGIE®, small and large blankets, plush items, rattles,
baby booties, crib sets and soft-cover books created with Scholastic,
Inc, all brightly colored and adorned with plenty of the small,
smooth tags that soothe little ones like nothing else.
Taggies products are sold at more than 4,000
independent specialty shops in the United States, Canada, England
and Ireland, and through more than a dozen catalogs, including
RedEnvelope and Lillian Vernon. “My First TAGGIES® Book:
Sweet Dreams,” “My First TAGGIES® Book: I Love
You,” and “My First TAGGIES® Book: Princess” are
sold at Wal-Mart, Target, Borders, Barnes & Noble and other
mass marketers. Taggies products may also be ordered
online at www.taggies.com and by phone at 1-877-4-TAGGIE.
